For yet another year we’ll be hosting Chester’s birthday project! Every year we’re doing something different. Our first year back in 2011 as a celebration for Chester’s birthday we created a collage made entirely out of pictures you guys sent in which morphed into Chester’s face.
Last year we made a video which was a big hit for the site thanks to you guys.
Thank you all for your submissions! You all rock! Entries are now CLOSED. See ya on March 20th!
First of all, Mike Shinoda has shared a secret he’s been hiding for some time now. He visited Haiti recently and has started, along with a friend, a recycling program there called ‘SRS’. Mike has shared all the details on this wonderful project on his blog. You can read it in its entirety HERE along with pictures.
The company we created is called Sustainable Recycling Solutions, or SRS. It is not a charity. SRS is a business based in Haiti, run and operated by Haitian workers. One of the co-owners of SRS is a Haitian gentleman named Pino, who also sells cheap, clean water all over Haiti in little plastic packets. He expressed his concern that his plastic product is creating a lot of waste, and he wanted to do something to offset it. So he joined us.
